It took us 4 and 1/2 days to get to San Doego.  We had extrmely calm seas all but one day, where we had Gale force winds and 10-12 ft waves (following)  The Pac Pro rode great!  She's quite a ship!

We now have about 2 months of esthetic work here in SD and then its off to Catalina!.

Thanks again to everyone in Saettle for their help and thanks to all the folks here in San Diego who have welcomed us here.

Our crew is slowly becoming family as we gel into a fine tuned machine.  each with his own job, but each knowing that your job is also doing everything else onboard.

I am proud to be part of this group.  The vision is unreal.  The motivation envigorating.  Pac Pro!!!!

It is not possible to put into words the gratitude I wish to express to my family and friends here in Seattle that helped keep us all alive during this process.

Thank you to all the guys at Stabbard for making the experience as painless as possible.  

And especially thanks to my wife Pam, for being part of the crew and putting up with my crap everyday.

Goodbye Seattle!  Thanks you everything.  Its been a good stay, but we are all happy to be sailing....

Today we are finishing the final boat load and provisioning and sometime tomorrow morning we will depart (finally) for San Diego.  The trip down should take 6-7 days and we are all looking for ward to sun and warm weather.  We will work the whole way down cleaning the boat, organizing, and of course relaxing a little bit.

Next entry......SAN DIEGO!!!!

 However, the most positive of everything are the advances on the Pacific Provider!  She is now (almost) one color.  The guys doing the paneling have completed their work. (man were they fast!) The heads are being assembled in the member staterooms.  The galley is being tacked in.  the inside and outside bars should be completed soon. The carpenters are advancing in the pilot house and the crew mess is half completed.    We even fired one of the big Cat generators yesterday.  It fired right up, clean exhaust.....not even a hiccup.  After two years of not being run, it just fired up.  Impressive, and a very good omen!   

This week we took on our newest Crew member, Pamela Avila de Deckman, from Los Cabos, MX.  She is our Member Services Coordinator.  Welcome Aboard Pam!

We also had our first crew grill party (in the rain of course)  but a great morale booster.

We are (more or less) on schedule to get out of Seattle in early May and head for warmer waters.  I can't wait to start posting ship position and fishing/diving reports.  The entire crew knows deep down that this time in shipyard are the dues we must "pay" to get to the good stuff!  Tight lines and pray for sun!!

The Pac Pro is advancing in leaps and bounds.....the paneling in the member staterooms is all but finished, AC is 90% done...the range goes in the galley on monday......you can almost smell the food cooking.....

My first week in Seattle......very cold, very wet, but today its sunny and "warm"  The Pac Pro is advancing at stellar speed....the member staterooms are almost all paneled and paint is coming up.  (Note the almost finished painted crane) Almost all the airconditioningn is in and we are on schedule to sail early may.  Its amazing to be part of this project and to watch the boat change daily.  Have a happy easter!

This last day also means the begining of the next adventure.  I report for duty on the 15th of March in Seattle, to finish outfitting the Galley and begin crew training etc.  We are scheduled to sail the end of April.  Our first station for the first couple of months is projected to be Panama! 

I´ll be back to you soon with some current pics of the PacPro and intinerary updates for our initial tour.
